Check it out at www.bereamakerspace.org/calendar Bob Montgomery is starting monthly classes with us at the Berea Makerspace. Beginner focused, small size, and inexpensive. We'd love to have you if you're interested! Doug Clarke is hosting another mig welding orientation at the Makerspace. Learn the fundamentals and build confidence in using this equipment - Doug will be covering: How welders work How to weld safely How to set up and adjust the welder Students will get hands-on welding time, practicing simple welds.

Wow! We're six! I'm (Jess) never good at planning Wow! We're six! I'm (Jess) never good at planning for actually celebrating these kinds of things, but let me ramble for a bit. Thank you all so much for making this possible. For the teachers and volunteers, for the organizations that collaborate and help fund our work, and for the members who help us pay the bills and keep making cool stuff! If you've ever been part of the Makerspace, or have ever attended an event or interacted with us, thank you! We continue to draw in members as far as Corbin, Lexington and Georgetown, because a space like this is hard to replicate, and we've been lucky enough to have a memberbase that believes in us. News of note: -We're starting up talks again to figure out our expansion. Community partners who have similar space needs for their organizations are coming together this summer to figure out how to make that happen. We continue to want to make our Makerspace bigger and more accessible for everyone in Berea, Madison County, and beyond. -We've just put up a fundraiser to help us upgrade our 3d printing capabilities! if you've benefited from our 3d printers in the past, how about help us replace our ender 5 with a bambu h2d? https://secure.givelively.org/donate/berea-makerspace/help-us-buy-a-new-medium-format-3d-printer
Thank you to everyone who participated in, and hel Thank you to everyone who participated in, and helped support, the Traditional Craft Program at the Berea Makerspace over the past four years (Funded by the Appalachian Fund at Berea College). We were not awarded a grant to continue this particular set of workshops in 2025-2026; regardless, we will continue to pursue other ways of bringing blacksmithing and hand tool woodworking classes in an accessible format to our Makerspace, and our patrons, in the coming years.
