Thanks to everyone who showed up for our third Ham Thanks to everyone who showed up for our third Hammer-In this weekend! We're thankful to continue this event despite our change in traditional craft funding. Extremely grateful for those who came to present as well, and for Jeff Farmer's continued leadership. Like what you saw? Don Weber has his Campfire Forging workshop in June, and Bob will continue with his beginner and continuing blacksmithing workshops in July. Jeff Farmer is also conducting Learnshop sessions in July through Berea Tourism. All this can be found on our event calendar, bereamakerspace.org/calendar =)

Friendly reminder for those attending the Hammer-I Friendly reminder for those attending the Hammer-In: if you want to sit down, we recommend you bring a chair! The Hammer In is this Saturday, 10-5. It's free and will be packed with demos, a potluck, raffles, and more!
Guys! Did you know we have multiple weekend worksh Guys! Did you know we have multiple weekend workshops happening in May and early June that aren't even half full? While we've not been able to have our (traditional) Traditional Craft season like the last 4 years, we were able to work with local and traveling artists to get these set up as affordably as possible. If you've ever considered learning green woodworking or blacksmithing, this is one of your best opportunities this year, and signing up helps us gauge interest in future events. All event registrations are on our website at BereaMakerspace.org/calendar On May 23-24, spend the weekend learning about green woodworking with Gabe Strand through our Shrink Pot class! On May 30-31, spend your weekend with Don Weber learning some traditional tool making in the Tools and Stools workshop! On June 6-7, do some hammerin with Don as you make your own campfire tools. This will be the weekend before our Hammer In - we encourage you to attend both! And still spots left in our Continuing Blacksmithing workshop coming up this weekend. Speend the weekend carving your own Shrink Pot! -Don Weber has both hand tool woodworking and blacksmithing workshops coming up at the end of May and the beginning of June!
