Our traditional craft programming is Pay-What-You-Can, even if you can't, thanks to a grant from the Berea College. Signup is through our event links, or on our calendar at BereaMakerspace.org/calendar

Jeff Farmer has rescheduled his January workshop (that was cancelled due to weather) to this month on the 25th! This is a great opportunity for beginners!

We still have lots of spots open for Don Weber's Cricket Table workshop! This spans 2 weekends - Over three days, learn traditional woodworking and furniture building techniques to create your own cricket table. Hand planes, spoke shaves, jigs and joinery, as well as a lesson in wood engraving, so you can finish by putting your own design on top (Maybe some religious imagery, or a protection spell, or just a squiggly line? That's your call!).
Thank you all SO MUCH for coming down to the hamme Thank you all SO MUCH for coming down to the hammer-in this weekend! We spent the rainy day doing demos and sharing knowledge. We weren't able to get much open hammers in, but I hope that everyone got something out the event (even if it was just lunch). We raised $210 from our iron in the hat raffle, split between the makerspace and further projects with Blacksmiths of KY.
We're still havin the hammer-in! Come check us out We're still havin the hammer-in! Come check us out 10-5 at 116 spring circle drive. We'll be keeping as dry as possible!
Planning on watching the action unfold this Saturd Planning on watching the action unfold this Saturday? We recommend you bring a chair.
As we keep an eye on the developing weather forecast, we are doing our best to have a fun and engaging day at the Makerspace, rain or shine. We have options for how we hold our demonstrations and open hammer depending on either. Hopefully you'll be interested in coming regardless!
Are you participating in the Hammer-In (May 3rd, 1 Are you participating in the Hammer-In (May 3rd, 10-5)? Think you'll get a chance at some anvil time during the open hammer portion of the event? Please consider appropriate clothing for blacksmithing - eyepro, full foot coverage, stuff you don't mind getting dirty. We'll keep sparks and flying objects to a minimum, but you're coming to a living blacksmithing event, not a zoo!
Participants have their own levels of comfort with what they choose to wear, and we have some eye and ear protection available for children and adults, but not enough to equip the entire audience.
