Once you become a member, you will need to come to an orientation session. If you need a separate time, request one on our #new-member Slack channel. At orientation you will receive your key, giving you 24/7 access to the space. If you want to use equipment that requires training, you will need to plan a time for training first. You can coordinate a time in person, in #new-member, or in the shop channel for the space you are interested in, e.g. #shop-wood.
Slack is a team-oriented communication platform that we use for distributing details, getting things done, and hanging out! It is open to members and you will get an invite link once you sign up. Check out our getting started guide.
We are working out the details. Currently members may teach classes and invite both members and non-members, assuming the space is available. All attendees must sign our waiver or have one already on file.
If you are not a member but would like to teach a class in the space, please contact us at info@bereamakerspace.org
